During my last visit to Guwahati, one young woman from our village at Patharkandi got selected as Asstt. Sub Inspector (Ministerial) in the CRPF. But she was asked to produce her OBC document in the said prescribed FORM OF CERTIFICATE [TO BE PRODUCED BY OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES APPLYING FOR APPOINTMENT TO POST UNDER THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.] so that they could appoint her as soon as possible.
She showed me the OBC document issued to her by All Assam Other Backward Classes Association. Before that interview, she was also not aware of this OBC FORMAT which is mandatory for APPLYING / APPOINTMENT TO POST UNDER THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA. I don’t know whether she got her OBC certificate from DC office, Karimganj or not. God knows what happened to her dream as I couldn’t contact her anymore.
So please dissipate the importance of OBC certificate (in the prescribed format) to our parents and students so that they can get the certificate issued from the concerned authority as soon as possible. It will definitely help them save from undue embarrassment at the last moment.
Here I am not encouraging you to seek opportunity under quota system if you have the talent. But it is up to an individual whether to avail the facility or not.
So be prepare with your documents and you can also get your all important documets cross checked by a senior person who knows about these things.
