         Meingal is going to organize an Essay Writing Competition on the following topic either in English or Bishnupriya Manipuri.

Last Date to submit the Essay : 15 August, 2012

         The essay should be written within 1200 words, neatly written or typed in double space in A-4 size paper duly signed in by the writer himself/herself at the end of the essay. The hard copy of the essay should contain a cover page containing a brief profile of the writer along with the latest passport sized photograph. Participants are requested to send a soft copy of the essay in a CD alongwith the hard copy of the essay if possible but not compulsory. Competition is open for all Bishnupriya Manipuri people of India and abroad and should be  18 years of age and above.

Meingal Scholarship-2011 and Monthly Educational Allowance Scheme-2011-12 - Eligible Students declared

MEINGAL declared the list of eligible candidates for the "Meingal Scholarship-2011(Project-I)" and the "Monthly Educational Allowance Scheme-2011-12 (Project-II)".  

Under the project "Meingal Scholarship-2011", one time scholarship amount of Rs.5000/- only and a Certificate of Honour will be awarded to the Bishnupriya Manipuri students who have passed in Class-X Board Examination-2011 (with 60% and above). The eligible students for the scholarship are selected on the basis of merit who secured highest percentage among the applicants from Hailakandi district, Kamrup district and Karimganj district of Assam. Total 03 students(toppers) have been selected for the Scholarship viz. 01 student each from Kamrup, Hailakandi and Karimganj districts. To know  the details of the Project-I please click here....

Regarding, "Monthly Educational Allowance Scheme-2011-12", Bishnupriya Manipuri students, residents of Guwahati, reading in Class-XI and Class-XII in the academic session-2011-12 and  passed Class-X and XI exams with 60% and above are entitled to avail this scheme. Under this scheme, the monthly educational allowance will be given @ Rs. 500/- for 12 months per student.  Only one student from Guwahati have applied for the same and he is eligible to avail the scheme. The awardees will be intimated accordingly and the scholarship and educational allowance will be awarded according to the students' convenience.
